Early in their relationship, Miquel and Kyle took an enchanted trip to Oregon and it was on that trip that they realized that they had fallen deeply in love. Towards the end of the trip, they found themselves in the Astrology section at Powell’s books where, just for fun, they decided to read up on the Cancer-Virgo relationship. Little did they know that this simple experience would become one of their most enduring memories.  In fact, that moment resonated with them so strongly they integrated the symbology in their save-the-dates and wedding invitations, some of which you may recognize as I share this with you:

“At first, it's difficult to imagine that a Crab and a Virgin have anything in common. Nonetheless, there's something soothing to the Earthy Virgo about the Water Element of Cancer. The Cancerian gentleness and mildness of manner often causes the Virgo to feel freer and more relaxed. And, being genuinely concerned and affectionate, Cancer silently projects comfort to Virgo. As a result, the Virgin feels safe and secure within the protective presence of the Crab.

Likewise, the Crab feels comfy-cozy floating around in the cool calmness provided by Virgo’s peaceful haven from the noisy, demanding world. Cancer knows that Virgo won't leave them alone on their beach, ignored and pining away from loneliness, and that their friendship will be kept polished and shining by the Virgin.

It is this combination of influences that allows the Virgin and the Crab, however amusing and odd they may appear to others, to feel perfectly right and natural to themselves and, in fact, Virgo and Cancer together create a powerful healing vibration. Alone, both of them are inclined to brood themselves into severe depression. But when they join their auras, hands, and hearts in any sort of mutual venture, these two have a way of ridding each other of such emotional and mental gloominess.

And isn't it just wonderful? These two have hopped into their pea-green dinghy and sailed down the river of happiness together and the whole purpose of their sail in the moonlight is harmony.”
